Well,

James made it through 2 weeks of training so far. 22 weeks to go. He is doing well so far and things are beginning to get tough. I have a trip booked for the 13th of April til the 16th of April. Then after that we will only have a little over 2 months until he graduates then we get to move somewhere. Should find that out around his 16th week of training. I am sure he will finish it but you never know because alot of people get injured during the self defense training. He will even have to get pepper sprayed at one point. He said he sees some of the guys who are further in the course going around with black eyes and stuff. Scary. I wouldn't last a day.

As for me I am doing o.k. I get lonely in the evenings and on weekends because that is when we spent most of our time together. I went out with a few friends Friday night and had a great time. I know I will miss them but for sure will not miss this town. The service sucks and it costs a fortune to live here. I don't even care if we end up in some remote town, I just want to be out of Fort McMurray.

Well enough complaining for now, I am hungry and am going to make some food.

Well this is day 4 of being alone:( I don't like it at all. It is going to be a very long 6 months. I have been trying to keep myself busy but keep running out of things to do. Maybe I will get an evening job or something. Who knows. Even if it is just for a month or two.

It has been very cold here in Fort McMurray. Lately it has been -40 with the wind chill. Poor car hardly started today. Thank goodness for heated undergroung parking. Wish I had a remote start for after work though...

Well enough for now. I have to do some dishes...Yuck!!!!!

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. James and I just got back from Jasper and we are now engaged as of the 28th of December. I am super duper happy and here are some pics of my ring:)

Well here goes...

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I am very jealous that I am not home. I wish I were because everyone seems like they are having a blast. I hear that blake & Keely's wedding was amazing... once again I wish I could have been there. Congrats you two:)

James and I are going to Jasper for 5 days to go snowboarding:) We leave on the 26th and return on the 30th just in time for New Years at Travis' place... should be lots of fun:)

James will be leaving on january 7th to go to Regina for 6 months to do his RCMP training... yup he is becoming a cop:) I am very proud of him. It is going to suck being apart for so long but I am sure the time will go by really fast. I am going to stay here in Fort McMurray and work and when he graduates we will be moving...not sure where but we will find out soon enough...

Well...

It's been a long time since I have updated this thing. I am at work and I am bored so why not? I am having a pretty good birthday so far. I went out for dinner with Kayla and Trevor saturday night (It is Trevor's birthday today as well) and we had a few drinks but I was too hung over from the night before to stay out late. Kayla and Trevor gave me wine glasses and a wine rack (yeah... I am a whino...) James is taking me out to dinner tonight to the Keg (yummy) and he gave me a Sims snowboard and bindings and a Burton Jacket so now I have a winter hobbie:) I have no excuse to sit around and complain about being bored in the winter time.

My Sister and her husband and son moved to Tuktoyaktuk,NWT. They arrived there last night and today they got their picture taken with a polar bear. Yikes. My Nephew is a year old now and he looks alot like my sister. I miss them very much.

Turns out, James and I are not going home for Christmas now. We are going to wait til a little later because tickets are too expensive. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving. I am going to cook a yummy turkey dinner.

Well I should get back to work now even though it is very boring. I will update again eventually. LOL.

Oh and I am only comming for a week:) Happy birthday soon Lisa Rose:)

I know it is a little late for this but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. I have no excuse for not writing because I sure as hell was not busy with work. I hardly worked at all over the holidays:) It is still pretty dead here but I am sure it will pick up soon:) I had an awesome Christmas and Next year will be even better because we will be going home:) I hope there will be lots of people home. Yaaa Blake and Keely's wedding. That will be fun:) I miss everyone soo much. I can't wait to see my Newphew:) Well I have to go now I am starving and it is just about lunch time. Later all:)

Yaaaaa!!! It is friday and I am loving it. It has been sooooo slow today:) I went for lunch with James and steve and Chris and tomorrow night is James Christmas party. Well I am at work right now and by the looks of it I will be able to update alot more. It has been so slow here so I have been reading up on everyones journal. I can't believe that it is Dec 1st already. Time really does fly. james Christmas party is in a few days and I still have to go shopping for something to wear. Well I have to go now the phones are starting to ring now that I have decided to update. Oh well. Later;)

Well it has been forever since I have updated. All is well here in Fort McMurray. I gave up my supervisor position at the Sawridge because well it just plain old sucked. I am much much happier now.

I worked at a Dollar store for a few weeks and well that sucked too. Then I applied at the keg and the same day I started my training I got a call for an interview at Royal Lepage. Found out today I got the job. I think I will really like this one. It is an office administration assistant. Monday to friday from 9-5 with 2 paid 15 minute breaks and an unpaid 1 hour lunch. Evenings and weekends off. Talk about a dream job. I can't wait to start.

James is now working with Diversified as a systems analyst and he is enjoying that. It looks like he will not be shipping off for RCMP training til at least June which is very good:) Other than that we are still both very happy and cannot wait to spend another Christmas together. Speaking of christmas... I bought a new tree and some decorations last week. I can't wait to decorate.

Well it has been a super long time since I have updated. I am not sure where to begin. My summer was great, Miranda and Andrew's wedding was beautiful and I have a very fun time. Lots of drinking. My birthday was on Sept 13 and that was o.k. I guess. I didn't do a whole lot but James did take me out for a yummy dinner at the Keg and bought me a pretty ring...and no it is not an engagement ring.

As you all know there was the flood which forced alot of people out of their homes. My parents are now staying with some people somewhere and moving into a new place the first of November. Kinda weird that I will not be going back to that house. We had alot of fun times in that house. I am going to miss it but I guess it is for the best.

Work is going o.k. Still working quite a few hours but it is not as stressful as before. I am off for a few days now because I have a stomach flu. Not fun at all. It is getting pretty cold here now. We had snow on saturday. Not alot but we had it. All of the leaves are off the trees now. I must say is is very pretty when the leaves turn color. Well I must get going now but I will update again soon:)

Well my sister finally had her baby today:) She had a baby boy and his name is Gregory Matthew. He was 8 ponds and 10 1/2 oz. Big baby with lots of hair....and healthy too. Yaaaa!!! Too bad that I won't see him til the summer but she is going to be sending lots and lots of pictures.
Also I now have my learners permit:) It will take forever til I have full driving privleges but at least I will have it and I can drive with James. I am going to take lessons first tho because that will bring down the insurance lots and when I finish that the lady said it would be as though I have 3 years experience. I am very nervous about getting behing the wheel but excited at the same time:)

Well last night was my first day back to work after my vacation and we were getting ready to host a wedding reception at the hotel. I was behind the bar and took a look at the contract and saw the name Dawn Gaudet. I knew she was in Fort McMurray somewhere but didn't know where. So I was standing there for them to make their entrance and there she was. She looks exactly the same. I didn't really get a chance to talk to her but she did remember me. he new Hubby seems really nice.
It was really cool and funny because the groom had a song where he got to dance with all girls then later they played a song for Dawn to dance with a bunch of guys. I wish i had a video camera. She was even nearly tossed in the air. She is still the tiniest thing ever. I am really hoping to see her again soon. Well that is my story of the week:)

Well today is mine and James' 2nd year anniversary. We will be going out to the keg for a nice dinner. I only have 2 days left of work before I go home for vacation and I can't wait. I can only imagine how slow they are going to be. I have my first night home all planned out. Spend a few hours with family and then to Clancey's I will go. Food and Drink. Sounds like a plan. Hope I see lots of people there:)

6 more days til I am home...can't wait. Have to go now, On my way to work:(

Well I am just getting home from work and cracked open a beer! The thunder is crashing and I love it sooooo much. It is soooo much louder than back home and the lightning is cooler too. I wish I had a camcorder. Well it is just 13 more days till I go home. I can't wait. There is soooooo much to do. My sisters baby shower, Miranda's wedding and lots of visiting and drinking and Clancys. I can't wait to have potato bites again. You can't get them here. Well I am going to go sit outside now but I will update again soon. Bye Bye all:)

Hey everyone,
I have not updated in forever but here is the scoop. I am still working at the Sawridge. I went back a few days after I quit. Things are sooooooo much better there now. We have a new banquet manager and he is awesome. Knows what he is doing and also funny. He got everyone raises and is working on getting alot of new stuff. I am comming home in a few weeks. I can't wait:) I miss everyone sooooo much. I have to go now but I will hopefully see you all in na few weeks:)

Yaaaa!!! I can drink. I am on there amoxicillin pills because i have to get a root canal in a few days and i didn't think that i could drink on them but i just called the pharmacy and asked and I can drink. I am sooooooo scared for my root canal. I hear that alot of people had them at work and they didn't have any problems at all. it is a 2 hour procedure. 2hours in a dentist chair. That fucking sucks!!! I will let you know how it goes!!!
